Kieran and Mia return to the small coastal town in Tasmania where they grew up to help Kieran’s parents clear out their house for a move. Events in a storm twelve years earlier—for which Kieran has always felt responsible—resurface when another young girl is found dead on the shore. Harper keeps tensions high throughout the twists and turns of this mystery, grief an ever present factor in so many lives, almost too much. It’s a dangerously beautiful place. Good read, although not liked as much as earlier ones written by her.
