This was a disappointing film with too many unlikelihoods. Really, this timid woman is going to meet up with a man about whom she knows absolutely nothing especially given his notice’s bizarre request (for a puzzle partner)- and she is going to go to his house, no less? Really, she has never done a puzzle before in her life (she has two grown kids. They know about puzzles.), has no idea where to buy one? She is by no means a stupid woman though we are frequently reminded how sheltered she is, just in case we feel our incredulity is being pushed a bit far. And her physical transformation from an already very attractive woman into a more attractive woman is so cliche. I thought the idea of the movie, being about the metaphor of puzzles and psychological purpose behind puzzling, was very interesting. But the people behind the movie, in my opinion, did not make a good enough story on which to build and support those ideas.
