I liked Lord of Chaos. It was interesting, sometimes funny, had good story advancement and character development (something that hadn't happened in a while), and also goes from Rand's point of view a lot (another thing that hadn't happened in awhile). The book has a long prologue, but throughout the rest of the book has Rand having to deal with Mazrim Taim, Lews Therrin, the Aiel, and the embassy of Aes Sedai that want him dead. The book also focuses on the point of views of Perrin, Egwene, Nynaeve, and Elayne, as well as other characters, though not as much as Rand, Egwene, and Nynaeve. (Egwene is really important, but it would be a spolier if I said why). The final battle of this book is great scene and probably one of the most important. In all, Lord of Chaos is probably one of my favorite Wheel of Time books and I think it is definitely an improvement over The Fires of Heaven.
