Add a CommentThis book is perfect for young children. It includes simple dialog and amazing illustrations that really bring the story to life. I felt myself tearing up and then ended up with a smile plastered on my face.
This book rests on the top of our pile of board books currently checked out from the Yarborough branch library. We read it almost every night to our two-year-old son. The artwork by Alborough conveys the story so well, the sparse writing reduces the burden for the adult reader. The child can easily discern the meaning on every page.
I'm going to search for every other book by this author!
The book gives the reader the creativeness to expand the simple story!
This book is fantastic. One of the best things about it is that the person who is reading it to the child had to create their own narrative, so the story is slightly different every time. My son loves it.
a beautiful story for any age
Beautiful book about a baby chimp who wants a hug from his mommy, but can't find her. Had me welling up.
A beautiful book for reading to toddlers. One word throughout: "hug".
