By far one of our favorite non-fiction easy reader series! The large format means large photo spreads, and the text actually offers interesting information, as opposed to the same “Flamingos are pink,” in other books. Lexile level 510L. 2-3 sentences per page, plus captions.

Yes. Indeed. Pretty Pink Flamingos.

This informative book not only gives the inquisitive reader all of the basic facts surrounding the survival, habitat, mating, etc. of these spectacular, wading birds - But it also contains a great selection of glossy, up-close photographs of these marvellous creatures in their natural environment, as well.
