Fast & Loose
Large Print - 2017
"Stone Barrington is enjoying a boating excursion off the Maine coast when a chance encounter leaves him somewhat the worse for wear. Always able to find the silver lining in even the unhappiest circumstances, Stone is pleased to discover that the authors of his misfortune are, in fact, members of a prestigious family who present a unique business opportunity, and who require a man of Stone's skills to overcome a sticky situation of their own. The acquaintance is fortuitous indeed, for as it turns out, Stone and his new friends have an enemy in common. He's the sort of man who prefers force to finesse, and who regards any professional defeat as a personal and intolerable insult. And when Stone's sly cunning collides with his adversary's hair-trigger-temper, the results are sure to be explosive"-- Provided by publisher.

Add a CommentI can't help myself, I like these stone barrington novels
Disappointing......please will he find someone and get married. I'm so tired of reading about some fabulous looking young woman who jumps in the sack after 10 minutes of meeting him.
The story was just OK rather too far fetched. If you like Stuart Woods, you'll be disappointed.
Every comment thus far is spot on. Soooo tired of his last 5, 6 books! The Teddy Fay book really started my disappointment with Stuart Woods. Teddy/Billy is my favorite character, yet since Woods' epic fail I have been so mad at his role in this series! Why is he writing these pitiful plots with the hugely repititious banter between Stone & Dino and Stone's same old tired sexual escapades....it's just boring & rude as heck! I miss the days of Dirt & Choke & Palindrome don't y'all?
These last two books have been okay but the characters and plot are dull at best. I am so disappointed. I will give him 1 more chance. Hopefully,he can get out of this rut but I am not optimistic after this one.
I agree! Usually I enjoy a fast Stone read but enough is enough! No more wasting my time on a Woods Barrington book. It is time for Woods to write something fresh and new!!!
Woods has written the ultimate skeevy Stone Barrington book. If awkward dirty talk with Woods' fantasy woman, a Swedish Supermodel/MD weren't enough to make you cringe and throw the book across the room, the "plot" will. Enough of this author using Stone to fulfill his own cringe worthy sexual ideas. Have you noticed that he never once describes Stone? Only his sex objects.
Stone is pursued relentlessly by a vengeful bomber. Isn't it lucky that some random stranger drops by with his, get this, retired bomb sniffing dog, just 5 minutes before the bombs are timed to detonate---TWICE? Giving Stone just enough time to get his latest girlfriend's head out of his lap (described technically) and bravely disarm each bomb.
I should have known to close this book right after reading the details of his rectal exam by same Swedish Supermodel/MD. Apparently it is normal for both Stone and this doctor, to make a date while he is still bent over and she is removing her gloves. I assume a fair number of women read his books, and he is dead wrong we have equivalent fantasies to men dreaming about being gynecologists. I had to wash my hands obsessively after this one.
