I can like silliness and we liked the first two episodes alright. Somehow other programs had more appeal than this series did though. This is not for those that are serious and you must be in a light mood for this.
After the first episode I thought "this is stupid," but it sort of builds and by the second episode I was rolling on the floor. Can't wait to see series 2.
I found it a struggle to get past the first episode, but it got better after that. The show improves in the second series because of some tweaks to the tone.
Completely Boring
Rated 4/10.
You really have to be a fan of P.G. Wodehouse to like this series. Genre is of the pip-pip, stiff upper lip send up of now more or less extinct upper class Brits. This series might have been rescued by including Stephen Fry, but it does try very hard to be funny. Timothy Spall is always worth watching, but this is definitely an acquired taste.
I wanted to like it...really.
Humorous series! Wonderful cast! Period comedy drama! If you are up to the light-hearted drama, this is it! Enjoy!
Delightfully silly.
