Great book. First half of the book discusses Carson's political views while tying it in with the constitution. The remaining half analyzes the articles and amendments.

From the interesting comments regarding this book, I am definitely interested in reading it. I have read Carson's "Gifted Hands", "One Nation", and "America the Beautiful". Definitely would recommend "One Nation" and "America the Beautiful". I am only a teenager, but I think that Carson has some excellent ideas. Right now there 31 holds and 8 available. With this books to holds ratio, Hillary Clintonista's books SHOULD have had close 130 some holds.

Why the heck did Hellbillyhillhound think that in a book entitled "A More Perfect Union"-implying the United States and its Constitutional charter- Ben Carson would randomly go off subject to deal with foreign policy? Score 100 for DebAK.

(The mobster spelling of Hillary Clinton's last name was intentional)

Good defense serob. I was thinking some of the things you said in your edited comment. I was wondering if you would mention them. I sometimes just argue just to see what people are made of. Once again, good going.

Sure: delete your comment, rewrite it and it becomes whatever you are now contending. I actually quoted your comment: "more people requested holds." And by the way, not everybody uses the Internet to place holds on items. Some patrons go to a library to do so.

EuSei: I did not edit my comment, it appears now as originally submitted. If I alter or delete a comment, I'll make a note of it as I have done in the past. Why the adversarial belligerence? Now eu sei você não sabe what you're talking about. Thanks for the elucidation.

jrayjedi: I do not claim to be responsible for or knowledgeable of any particular library's or Clevnet's algorithms for orders based on holds. Please consult your local library for that information. I'm simply making an observation based on the "Find it at Clevnet" sidebar found in the top left corner of this page, as stated in the original comment.

EuSei: Sigh! The phrase was, "AS more people made holds"; "more" being used in the sense of "additional". Meaning, the first week a book is released, there are few holds placed, the next week, a few more holds are placed and so on. The proof of this is in simply observing the "Find it at Clevnet" sidebar found in the top left corner of this page, as stated in the original comment. Another example, this book's holds has dropped from the 66 reported by Waynestation to 32. Even though interest has declined, because of the initial surge in holds we see the library has since acquired 70 copies and have ordered 15 more as of this date: 11/26/2015. Does this mean there is some conspiracy of conservative libraries or librarians trying to fill their shelves with Mr. Carson's book? No, it does not. It simply means the number of books ordered by the libraries corresponds to the demand of it's patrons. Not having access to the official library records concerning day-to-day activity on it's material, that is as much proof as one could reasonably hope for.

The latest Hilary Clinton Book "Hard Choices" was laid down in July of 2014. As more people requested holds on this book, more copies were purchased. Eventually the libraries will divest themselves of excess copies as demand decreases. I suspect this will be after the 2016 Presidential election cycle ends.
This book by Ben Carson was laid down in October of 2015. It is still a relatively new book and there are currently more GOP candidates with books of their own out there, so demand is currently low. If and when more people express an interest in it by placing requests, the libraries will acquire additional copies, as has been demonstrated in the previous comment by waynestation and in the Find it at Clevnet sidebar found in the top left corner of this page. No devious liberal censorship/propaganda plot here, waynestation, just good conservative, capitalist business practices; supply the demand.

In this book Dr. Carson discusses "Constitutional Liberties," NOT foreign policy...

Nov 20, 2015

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson’s own advisers have acknowledged he is struggling to comprehend foreign policy. Carson, who is the leading Republican candidate in some polls, has blundered on the topic of foreign policy, including wrongly claiming China is involved militarily in Syria. Speaking to The New York Times, a top Carson adviser said, "Nobody has been able to sit down with [Carson] and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East."

1 copy of his book, 37 copies of Hillary Clinton's latest book. 16 holds on Carson's book, 10 checked out of Clinton's. And right after banned books week. Good job, "censorship public library. "

10/20/2015 Now I see three copies and 44 holds, lol.

11/11/2015 hey, up to 9 copies and 66 holds! Expect to see more anti-Carson liberal news media propaganda in this comment section!
12/21/2015 9 copies and 55 holds. Hang in there, liberal library! serob, I used to see more non-liberal books in the library until they hired the last library head out of Berkley. Since then in general I've seen them go down. If I had the time to investigate and give a list of books and comparisons I would, however I don't so you'll just have to understand that it's my opinion based on general looking - in this opinion comment section. I understand you have your own opinion. I've even donated a non-liberal book in case it was just lack of funds, but they didn't register it, just threw it out or gave it to Friends of The Library to sell. Their excuse was not enough people reading it, however they have a huge amount of liberal books on that subject that nobody reads. I don't consider it a conspiracy, just a liberal mindset that blinds itself while hypocritically promoting banned books week.
