How to Break A Dragon's Heart
Book - 2011
Stranded on the exceptionally dangerous, and possibly haunted, Beach of the Broken Heart, Hiccup must face Ug the Uglithug and complete the Impossible Task--or die trying. Along the way, he'll have to battle Berserks, dodge Scarers, and save Fishlegs from being fed to the Beast, all while being hunted down by an old enemy with a dark secret about the mysterious Lost Throne. With Toothless by his side, and time to stage his rescue running out, what's a Hero to do?

Comment
Add a CommentI loved all three "How to Train Your Dragon" movies and wanted to read the books on which they were based, but Cressida Cowell's books follow a completely different story line. Hollywood paid the author for the idea -- a Viking village who learn to ride dragons --- and used some of her characters, but that is where the similarity ends. If you want to read this series because you want to be reminded of the movie, you will be disappointed. But once you push that aside and read the tale as she envisioned it, you will come to enjoy the story. Even though it says you don't have to read the books in order, I recommend you do. But editor, you went cheap on the illustrations. Please hire someone with talent. The artwork is terrible.
