A piece of historical fiction, this is a story of adventure and unshakable faith. Walsh writes about a ship wreck that in fact did occur off the coast of Carolina. Passengers on their way to New York run into a hurricane. As commented in the preface... this story has taken 150 years to tell and Walsh is a great story teller. The real facts surrounding this story will amaze readers. From struggles to survive to rescues... the couple in fact did exist, they are real. The ship did sink, and the details surrounding the rescue are real. An amazing story for anyone who loves adventure, believes in faith and loves a happy ending.

This powerful story takes place in the 1800's. It is a heart wrenching love story about a couple on their honeymoon who experience disaster at sea. Very good book.
