Add a CommentA lot of similarities to Tiger's tale, written with humor ala Dan Jenkins. Liked it a lot.
Interesting read. All I could think about was Tiger Woods. Don't know if the similarites fit his story, but it was fun. I liked all the golf info, the personal stuff was a bit over the top.
My husband enjoyed the humor of this book and the author's assumptions about Tiger Woods' side of the story (since this novel is obviously inspired by Tiger's scandal). As a golfer, he thinks other golf fans will enjoy the book, too.
Although I am not a huge golf fan, I am aware of the major tournaments and the top players. This book gives a cynical inside look at the touring pros, their foibles, families, triumphs, attitudes and the glamour. It likely has some basis in reality. And it points out how we put professional athletes on pedestals and both expect too much from them as well as automatically forgive them transgressions that might well be jail time offenses for the common man.
