One of my favorite books. And I love Simone Elkeles books.

I love the closure Elkeles gives. And I love the fact she closes a lot of plot holes and fills in secrets that were unanswered. But I do find the characters a bit stupid near the end of the book. I teared up as well when they all got together at the end with all their kids and it was just fantastic. Amazing, I love these books.

In this third and final installment in Simone Elkeles' Perfect Chemistry series, we finally get to meet Fuentes brother number three, Luis, who is a good kid from the south side of town working toward an ambitious future in astrophysics. He has so far avoided involvement with the gangs that permanently scarred his brothers, but now that his family has moved back to Fairfield he isn't sure how long he can escape their notice. Nikki Cruz lives with her parents on the wealthier, north side of town and feels little to no connection to her Mexican heritage. Due to a painful event from her past, she is disillusioned about Latino guys and, frankly, guys in general. When the two meet in school, Nikki wants nothing to do with Luis, but he's intrigued and not going to give up easily. It was a relief that Elkeles deviated refreshingly from the formula she used for the first two titles (Latino bad boy meets good white girl). Instead, here we have "good Latino boy meets moderately-rebellious Latino girl." The story takes a somewhat unbelievable turn toward the end, but overall it was more satisfying than Rules of Attraction.

Chain Reaction introduces us to the youngest of the Fuentes boys, Luis. He's quite unlike his older brothers Alex and Carlos because he's very smart, ambitious and hopeful when it comes to his future. He's the good boy of the family. Personally I didn't really like the main characters in this book. Luis to me didn't really have that bad boy charm his brothers had. But it's clear throughout the book that for Luis it's all about his family and protecting them. His love for his mom and brothers is very clear. Nikki is the other main character and I honestly found her really annoying. With her it was the typical "I've been hurt before and I don't want to get hurt again" thing. Which to be honest got old really quick. Nikki and Luis have a sweet relationship but I think the reason why this book didn't hook me like the last two was because the story line was kind of similar to the first but there's a twist near the end that makes it really interesting. But what never fails to impress me is how well the author portrays the life of a gang member and how family oriented the whole series is. Another really nice thing is that you never have to say goodbye to the previous characters Alex and Carlos, their stories carry on in this book and the conclusion to the series is pretty good. Chain Reaction wasn't bad but it could have been better. All in all it was a really good series and I would totally recommend it someone.

This series I believe should continue into another book. A book that has 3 parts. One part for little Paco. One part for the three girls of Carlos &&' Kiara. And another part for Luis's and Nikki's kid. I don't know I feel like I want to know more about what happens to the kids and how the parents do AFTER marriage and "happy ending" the epilogues didn't do so good in my opinion..

This was my least favorite book out of the whole three and if I had read this one first, I probably wouldn't continue reading the rest. Even though the author tried to mix things up a bit with the different personalities of the main love interests, the story line has been done before in both of the previous books and I just didn't think Luis' and Nikki's chemistry was as great and their relationship wasn't as strong as the others. I didn't like Nikki's character too much either and let's just say I didn't like the book as much. SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER I think the best thing I liked about the book was that Nikki ended up being the one who shot Chuy and "saved" Luis, instead of the other way around. And she actually had the guts to do something, because unlike the other two books, the girls were always "at home and worried" and if they were so worried about the love of their lives, why the hell didn't they do anything?

In my opinion I absolutely loved the book. But i think it needs more i wanna know how the Fuentes brothers end up i mean what dose Luis do with all that money his biological father left behind and what happens to their children to be honest Simone needs to make a new series called the Fuentes familia
