Summary
Add a SummaryVery nice book but has one bad word in it (that's why I think its for older kids) but still one of my favorite story's.(Fantasy adventure.)
James Henry trotter goes into a giant peach and there is oversized bugs in the peach, one of the bugs bit the stem off the tree and the peach rolled into the ocean, james harnessed seagulls to make them fly with the peach into the air and they landed in New york city . by michael
A little boy named James has to live with his two evil aunts after his parents die and they treat him horribly. One day a giant peach grew from their, once barren, peach tree, and James found a hole in it big enough for him to climb through. He made it to the seed of the peach and met his newfound friends that he traveled from England to America with on a very interesting journey.
I have finished the book called, “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl a fantasy book. The central idea or main idea is that James is the protagonist. He lives with his aunt. He had some magical crystals. Then one night he dropped the magical crystals on an old tree and the tree transformed into a giant peach! Then James went to look for an entrance into the peach. When he had crawled inside he found Grasshopper, Ladybug, Centipede, Spider, Worm and more. When the stem of the peach broke off it rolled all the way down there Spider had to come up and spider web the seagulls otherwise they would all sink and die! With the seagulls help and the Spiders help they have survived. Later the seagulls drop them off at the top of the Empire state building, at the top. The cops were at the base and 3 of them fainted. What will happen next?

Add a CommentAnything scribed by Dahl is sure to be a hit, and this book just proves how amazing he is! James embarks on a mission away from his cruel aunts alongside his giant peach and the insects that it holds. It will be a big hit amongst the younger audiences, and the film adaptation is a great accompaniment. With happiness and grief mixed into one, this a children's book that allows the reader to experience it all!

As always, Roald Dahl spins the most fantastic wonderful tales for children and James and the Giant Peach is up there with his greatest ones. It is also a wonderful animated film. Don't deprive your children of fantastic stories such as this one - there are one in a million!.
this book sucks you suck everyone sucks
The book was extradonary! It's the best
After reading The Twits and James and the Giant Peach, I discovered that Roald Dahl has a unique a style in his writing. It is a good style and I like it when he uses weird words like whizzpopping or natterbox. I found it funny when Roald was describing James's aunt Ms. Sponge. "She was like a great white soggy overboiled cabbage".
This book is the best book ever and I like the bugs because they are nice. I like also like James because he is very smart.
This book is a good book. James finds a peach, well something. and it won;t stop growing
I loved reading this book with my 11 year old daughter. The characters are fun, the story is engaging and the 'poems' are enjoyable to say out loud.
As a fifteen year old I still found myself loving this book and reading it at a quick pace, bringing it wherever I went. What I liked the most about the book was how Roald Dahl never left out the strange, scary, gory details. He wanted kids to experience all aspects of life, all the laughter and happiness, but also the sadness, grief and horror that can be strung along. Great book - I'd recommend for any age!
a really good book with funny characters I loved it
