A great kids’ introduction to the still-radical art movement known as dAD@ [Dada]. Mimi the cat tries to break in with the silly, anarchistic, nonsensical anti-artists known as Dadaists that arose out of the chaos of World War I. As Jackson writes in an author’s note at the back: “Wearing a sock on your elbow is Dada. Spinning in circles and shouting ‘Salami!’ is Dada…” Etc.!

This book is a fun concept but it also simply reminds me of how little patience I have for Dadaism.
