Man, I thought I was going to get my wish and have Roarke killed off. Oh well
This is an interesting page turner. How can anyone possibly be so gruesomely murdered in a totally secure room? Lieutenant Eve Dallas is pitted against a world of fantasy and the fantastical.
This series is great and Eve Dallas a kick ass character.
Much of this was a waste of time. We are given the means of murder when the book opens, yet Dallas et al spend page after page speculating about how it was done. But for the reader, the only question was who, so most of this is redundant. A quick skim is all you need.
Pretty good addition to the series. Some great one liners between Eve and Peabody but some unneeded angst between Eve and Roarke. Also, not being a video gamer myself, the murder setting and modus operandi became a bit boring after awhile. But it had a good ending.
