The classic inspirational parable from the top motivation and marketing trainer and #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Millionaire Messenger--a triumphant tale of personal growth and change that will inspire anyone who has ever wished for a second chance.

What if you were handed a golden ticket that could magically start your life anew?

That question is at the heart of Life's Golden Ticket. Brendon Burchard tells the story of a man who is so trapped in the prison of his past that he cannot see the possibilities, the choices, and the gifts before him. To soothe his fiancée Mary, clinging to life in a hospital bed, the man takes the envelope she offers and heads to an old, abandoned amusement park that she begs him to visit.

To his surprise, when he steps through the rusted entrance gates, the park magically comes to life. Guided by the wise groundskeeper Henry, the man will encounter park employees, answer difficult questions, overcome obstacles, listen to lessons from those wiser than he, and take a hard look at himself.

At the end of his journey, the man opens Mary's mysterious envelope. Inside is a golden ticket--the final phase in turning his tragic life's story of loss and regret into a triumphant tale of love and redemption.

Life lessons woven into a fantasy, written by a motivational speaker. The takeaway for me is simple. If you want brightness in your life, contribute brightness to life.

Wow--I was pleasantly surprised by this. Even though it's a novel, I started thinking about my own life in relation to what the main character was experiencing and feeling.

This book has been on my reading list for quite some time and I never got to it and almost removed it completely from my reading list. I am so glad that this time I opened it up and began reading because after the turning the first few pages it started wrapping itself around my soul and each time I put it down it stayed with me and I am sure now that I have finished this one will stay with me for a long time. So powerful, so beautiful written.

This is a great reader from start to finish for any adult or teen. It deals with being accountable to others and to yourself, making choices to do what you say you are going to do rather than just saying and not doing and letting people down. It also deals with persevering, and facing what can sometimes be the most difficult thing to deal with... YOU! I recommend reading this book and asking yourself some of the questions the main character is asked.

“In life, the path of least resistance is always silence. If you don’t express your feelings and thoughts to others, you don’t have to deal with their reactions to it. You don’t have to feel vulnerable. You don’t risk rejection. But I’ll tell you what: the path of least resistance leads exactly where that ride leads to.” He pointed again to the carts looping around the track. “Nowhere.”
