Add a CommentThis is a lovely little book of poetry by the beloved actor and patriot, James Stewart.
These poems were first read aloud by the author himself in person on the John Carson's show. Carson joked about publishing them. Some publisher wasted no time to approach Mr. Stewart, and voila!
Before each poem, there is a background story about how the poem came to be. It offers a glimpse of this legendary actor's family life, which was warm and a bit whimsical. Although it's nothing deep or heavy, it reminds me of the old-time American values: family first, the love of animals, the spirit of adventure, etc. Well, this little book is a joy to read! Especially to children and grandchildren!
