If you suspend your belief in reality, then it is quite entertaining. There is something so 'American' about 'on the edge' situations where the salvation comes at the last instant, or just at the point where it looks like the protagonist has met his/her doom.

It is good because it takes a disabled hero and puts him into impossible situations. It is just as worthwhile for you to take the time to go through all of the extras, including re-watching with the commentary and close-captioned text turned on.

It’s not much about the plot, acting, or dialogues but it’s fun and entertaining enough just from the actions and acrobatic scenes throughout the movie. Good show.

First & probably last Dwayne Johnson movie for me to see. These type of movies just aren't even plausible but they seem to grab a lot of attention from the public. Just not my thing … too predictable & not believable.

I love Dwayne Johnson, but man. This movie was not good. But if you like explosions and unrealistic situations and impossible feats of heroism, then this movie is for you!

Skyscraper is an action film starring Dwayne Johnson. The film is about, a former FBI agent trying to save his family from the tallest building in the world, while its under a terrorist attack. The film released in July 13, 2018 and made 300 million in its box office weekend. The reason I found this film quite special is because Dwayne Johnson thought of the idea and pitched it himself, and it truly came to the big screens. Throughout this movie the main idea is that, a man will do anything to save his family, and it shows as Will Sawyer goes to terrifying and thrilling levels to save his family despite his disabilities. The start of the movie specifically highlights how one of Will Sawyers missions went horribly wrong and caused his leg to blow off. The film uses that to show even through Will is not as capable as other people he was still able to save his family. The actors in this movie also did an amazing job at portraying the characters emotions. The fight scenes and stunts in this movie are very realistic and the CGI was done very well. Despite the skyscraper in this movie was completely fake is looked very realistic. I think this movie did a good job with the ending as even when everything looked bad for Will and his daughter, he didn’t give up and kept fighting to earn a happy ending. In my opinion you should really check this film out for an enjoyable experience. Thank you so much for reading this. 4/5 Stars. @ButterChicken of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

I liked it, very much in the Die Hard mold. It doesn't have the cringe inducing scenes (the director/actors don't give them the same weight as in DH, but losing a leg could easily have been up there if they wanted to play it up). It was nice seeing Neve C again. I'll likely watch it again sometime.

Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber in 2018, this American disaster drama depicts the fire of a newly built Hong Kong skyscraper.
Although special effects appear great, the script seems ill-contrived and looks like those of other disaster films like "The Towering Inferno" and "Die Hard".
You definitely need a willing suspension of disbelief.

A bit of fun action. Entertaining. Just watch it for what it is. Dwayne has done better.

I wish parts of "the peal" would be our new library.
