This book is a one-of-a-kind adventure and the first in the Alex Rider series. Alex is a typical British fourteen-year-old boy who lives with his uncle Ian, a mysterious man who is often not around. When Ian dies, Alex discovers his uncle was actually a spy for MI6, the British intelligence agency, and that he was secretly training Alex his whole life to continue his work. Alex must put his skills to the test while searching for the person responsible for his uncle’s death and desperately trying to stop an even bigger scheme.

Stormbreaker is an incredibly intricate and detailed novel by Anthony Horowitz and one that will keep you entertained until the end. Horowitz takes the classic spy’s tale and makes it even better with the highly skilled but still naive Alex. This book is an action-packed ride of espionage, danger, and humor that never ends.

AWESOME!!!! perfectly written. One of my all time favorites. This is the story of a thirteen year old kid. He learns that his uncle got killed instead of dying in a car accident. He then goes on to start working for mi6 and he meets Damian Cray. Who seems nice but Alex knows something fishy! A must read!!!!!!

This book has a pretty compelling main character whose thoughts brighten up the story and make it the book what it is. It has a pretty cliched set up but after that the story really seems to come alive and suck you into the alex rider universe. The antagonist was interesting and had quite a few dimensions to him but had a childish motive which you could say fits his personality, but thats stretching it. The supporting antagonists and protagonists were extremely one dimensional, but you don't notice this much because of the focus placed on the main characters. This book has phenomenal pacing and revealed things just the right time to make the story interesting. This book could improve on character development, since there is little to no character development in this book they are shorter when they could also use a bit more length to them. All considered this was a good book and a very fun read, I would give it a rating of 4/5. This a book for people 8 to teen as there really isn't much brutal violence and when there is it is handed well. @HagridsBucket of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

I was really happy reading this first book! Alex Rider gives "Agent Cody Banks" a run for the money! It's such a wonderful, realistic idea of what it would be like to be a kid spy. And a very good one, at that.

Alex Rider; StormBreaker, by Anthony Horowitz
Stormbreaker is a action pact thriller for young adults, the story starts with the main character Alex Rider who after the death of his uncle is sucked into the secretive world of espionage. Sent to complete the mission his uncle couldn't, Alex is to spy on a millionaire donating state of the art computers to all British school children; Stormbreakers.

Stormbreaker is the amazing first book in the explosive Alex Rider series. One of my favorite character is Yassen Gregorovich, the secretive assassin responsible for Alex's uncles death, but is also his guardian angel, always there to save Alex at the last minute. I would completely recommend a read for this brilliant book.

Alex Rider, Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz is an amazing spy fiction and thriller book. This book is about a 14 year old boy called Alex Rider who is shocked by the death of one of his family members early on in the story. He is out investigating and finds his uncles work and stumbles across his work mates. After that Alex is sent out on a mission to find out detail about the strombreaker computers but before he could do that he had to go through training.

My favorite character in the story is Alex because he never gave up when things changed suddenly he always found a way around it.

My favorite part of the story is at the end when Alex and Yassen meet and the story is left on a cliff hanger because Yassen raised his hand at Alex and Alex did it back but Alex didn't know what he meant, friendship or a salute.

In my opinion I would recommend reading this book, if you are in to spy, action and adventure books this is for you.
I rate this book a 4 and a 1/2 out of 5
