It's Christmas Eve, and Mr. Biggins hasn't come home. Grandfather and Lizzie, bundled up well, go up the mountain in the snow to fetch the old dog. They climb and call, but there's no sign of Mr. Biggins, so they make camp on the mountaintop and spend the night. It's a night of wonderful surprises-and the return of Mr. Biggins on Christmas morning makes it perfect. Filled with the warmth of a close granddaughter-grandfather friendship, this story will enchant anyone who loves dogs, hiking, or Christmas.

Very enjoyable story. Grandfather can seem to be a bit gruff , but deep down he is a marshmallow and very caring to his Granddaughter and his 3 legged dog Mr . Biggins .
